What it does

  • Batches and divisions: group students by programme and academic year, split them into divisions, and combine batches into cohorts for common subjects.
  • Teaching allocation: decide who teaches which subject to which batch, division or cohort.
  • Content: subject chapters with PDFs, notes, syllabus, reference files, videos, links and a self-study library, targeted at divisions or individual students.
  • Assignments: due dates, late marking, resubmission, per-student extensions, grading with feedback.
  • Quizzes and tests: mock quizzes, graded tests and live online tests; five question types with auto-grading and manual review; a reusable question bank tagged with CO/PO and Bloom's level; quizzes that pop up during a video.
  • Timetable and lectures: weekly timetable, dated lecture sessions, cancellations, topic of the day, syllabus coverage, recordings and online class links.
  • Attendance: teacher marking, bulk upload, geo-fenced student self-marking, face verification, defaulter thresholds, and daily check-in/out for research scholars.
  • Projects and internships: project briefs with internal and external marks, and internship detail forms.
  • Online viva: scheduled one-to-one vivas with rule-violation tracking.
  • Previous year papers per subject.
  • AI study tools: AI-generated notes, flashcards, quiz, mind map, audio and video from a syllabus; an AI tutor with a topic map; a study-mate chat; a doubt solver over the student's own documents; personal study plans; daily practice quests.
  • Progress tracking: what each student has opened, watched and completed.

Needs

  • Core: 1.x (users, students, colleges, programmes, subjects, academic years, files, jobs, notifications)
  • Modules: none required. Exam, fees and communication modules can listen to LMS events.
  • Platform services: an AI provider and a text-to-speech provider (keys held by the platform, never in settings). Video hosting is needed if teachers upload video.

Setup after install

  1. Assign the LMS roles to staff and confirm students and parents receive lms:student / lms:parent.
  2. Create Batches for each programme and academic year, with semester dates, then their Divisions. Optionally group batches into Cohorts.
  3. Add Classrooms and Holidays.
  4. Record Teaching Allocations (teacher, subject, batch/division).
  5. Build the Weekly Timetable; lecture sessions are generated from it.
  6. Review the settings: Minimum attendance %, Default geo-radar radius, Days in the past a teacher may mark attendance, Attempts allowed per quiz, Accept late submissions, Enable AI study tools.
  7. Teachers add chapters and material; students then see them on their dashboard.
